Inaugurated in 2025, the UA Ruhr Liaison Office Latin America aims to strengthen academic, scientific, and innovative entrepreneurship cooperation, between Germany’s Ruhr region and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Located in the heart of Latin America’s largest metropolis, the office connects the three UA Ruhr universities (Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and University of Duisburg-Essen) with higher education institutions, funding agencies, companies, and other organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Its activities encompass promoting the alliance and its universities, strengthening cooperation through the support of scientific exchange, academic mobility and the event organization. Furthermore, the office provides guidance to students, researchers, institutional representatives and research-driven entrepreneurs, looking for opportunities in Germany - and vice-versa.

With this presence in Latin America, the UA Ruhr reaffirms its commitment to deepening international collaboration and contributing to the advancement of knowledge from a global perspective.
